What is expected: |
The Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics, Inc. follows the current American Massage Therapy Association guidelines. The Emergency Medical Technician Training that we have required in the past has now been replaced by the Red Cross First Responder course. This programs meets our needs for the Massage Therapist and is taught by David and Margaret Edenfield who are licensed E. M. T. Instructors for the State of Indiana since 1976. Should the prospective student prefer to take the EMT training, or has already been through EMT training, they would be exempt from the First Responder requirement, which would eliminate the hours and the money required of this part. Testing through the First Responder is also an option. This should be discussed at the interview.

Philosophy: |
At the Alexandria School of Scientific Therapeutics, Inc. we put the student first. We want to know that the people we train are good reputable people and have the knowledge to be the best they can be in the field. We are willing to go to the limits to achieve this goal. We perceive our school as a Response/Information Center for our graduates as well as our students, and promote continuing education at a reasonable cost.
